Составлять, собирать и хранить списки книг - это, наверное, болезнь. Список из книги Books Children Love by Margaret Wilson занимает 14 страниц мелким шрифтом; список из 100 Top Picks For Homeschool Curriculum by Kathy Daffy - ещё 6 страниц.; библиографии из понравившихся книг, книги для тех, кто любит Гарри Поттера, книги про индейцев, про Беовулфа, про Древний Рим, про математику, про науку и т.д и т.д. А вот ещё один список, на этот раз из интернета с сайта Ambleside Online.

Ambleside Online http://www.amblesideonline.org/index.shtml пожалуй самый авторитетный ресурс о домашнем обучении по методу Шарлотты Мейсон. А если учесть, что весь метод Шарлотты основывается на чтении, ознакомлении с лучшими образцами литературы и обучении по хорошим (живым) книгам, то список этот стоит хотя бы просмотреть.

Ambleside Online - сайт с протестантской философией, т.е. на нём вы не найдёте антихристианских книг или книг, проповедующих язычество, и т.п. Теория Дарвина или теория Большого Взрыва если и будут рассматриваться, то только в качестве теорий. Это я вас не пугаю, а предупреждаю, почему вам может не встретиться та или иная книга, которая, как вы считали, уж точно должна быть в списке.

На последок: Указанные годы обучения - приблизительные, по общему мнению - завышенные. Вы к своему классу спокойно можете прибавлять год - два. Там, где существует возможность замены одной книги на другую, в скобках указан автор, на которого можно заменить. Звёздочкой обозначены книги, которые существуют в свободном доступе в сети. Словами Free Reading обозначены книги для свободного чтения после уроков.
